earth skin
the neck of the angel
smells of marc jacobs and fur
candied apples and myrrh
we touch down in Vegas
hard rock and sands
we touch with rubber hands
and feel like brigands
with pirate eyes
and wounded thighs
but we sympathize
with magic
and we are lured by the tragic
outcome of others
our heart beats
with those aincent drummers
who bent time and will
with music.
